shampoo can cleanse the scalp and improve how hair feels, but it cannot diagnose or treat the medical causes of hair loss. Sudden, patchy or persistent shedding deserves evaluation by a qualified clinician.

What caffeine shampoo can—and cannot—do

Caffeine is used in scalp products because it is easy to incorporate into rinse-off and leave-on routines. Laboratory and small clinical studies have explored its potential, but evidence for meaningful hair regrowth remains limited compared with established medical treatments. Treat caffeine shampoo as supportive scalp care, not a cure.

How Bija and caffeine are used in OVCL hair care

The Korean trade listing for OVCL Bija & Caffeine Ampoule Treatment identifies caffeine at 10,000 ppm and Torreya nucifera (Bija) extract at 1,000 ppm. It also lists coffee seed extract, Chamaecyparis obtusa water and multiple molecular weights of hyaluronic acid. The product is described as a 500 mL rinse-off treatment for damaged hair and scalp comfort.

A practical routine

1. Wet hair and scalp thoroughly with lukewarm water.

2. Apply shampoo mainly to the scalp; massage gently with fingertips rather than scratching.

3. Rinse completely.

4. Apply treatment to the lengths and, only if directed on the label, the scalp.

5. Leave on for the labeled time and rinse.

6. Blot with a towel and minimize high-heat styling to reduce breakage.

Consistency and gentle handling matter. Tight hairstyles, repeated bleaching and high heat can increase breakage and make density look worse even when follicles are unaffected.

When to seek professional advice

Contact a dermatologist or other qualified clinician for rapid shedding, bald patches, scalp pain, scaling, inflammation or hair loss associated with illness, medication changes or hormonal symptoms.
